Renewable Energy Foundation Scotland (REF Scotland) monitors the development of renewables in Scotland and makes contributions to debates on public policy in what is an important sector in the Scottish economy.

The prospects for renewable energy development are markedly different compared to other parts of the United Kingdom. REF Scotland's aim is to ensure a greater understanding of those opportunities, the challenges of implementation and the achievement of the Scottish Government's climate change targets.

REF Scotland works for a balanced and sustainable portfolio of renewable energy installations and a new emphasis on energy conservation.
